Resilience has a name. Her story is just beginning

Brandi Liberty (Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska / United Houma Nation) is a published author, columnist, and storyteller whose work centers Indigenous identity, leadership, and healing. She is the co-author of Womanhood: Identity to Intimacy and Everything in Between (2023), and is currently working on her second book, which explores Native women in leadership through personal narrative and historical context. As a monthly columnist for Verite News in New Orleans, Brandi writes on Indigenous culture, policy, and lived experiences in Louisiana. Her writing is deeply rooted in her 16+ years of work as a tribal consultant and grant strategist, where she has secured over $136 million for tribal programs. Brandi’s voice as a writer is both fierce and reflective, shaped by a commitment to truth-telling, community uplift, and honoring the legacy of her ancestors
